No. SDC/989/2024/SDC6 Thiruvananthapuram, 15.05.2025
Whereas, as per the notification No. LSGD/PD/24269/2024-EER1 dated 06.09.2024, published by the Director of Local Self Government Department (Rural) in the Extraordinary Gazette No. 2888 dated 07.09.2024, the number of seats to be filled by direct election in Chokli Grama Panchayat in Kannur District was fixed as 19; and Whereas, based on the above, draft proposals for dividing the said Grama Panchayat into 19 constituencies and for determining the boundaries of the said constituencies were published vide Notification No. SDC/989/2024/SDC6 dated 18.11.2024; and Whereas, time was granted up to 04.12.2024 for submitting objections and suggestions regarding the said proposals, and the objections and suggestions received accordingly were duly examined, the complainants were heard in person, and the same were considered and disposed of; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 10 of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, the Chokli Grama Panchayat is hereby divided into 19 constituencies, and the boundaries thereof are hereby determined as shown in the Schedule appended herewith, and this final order is hereby issued.
