ADMINISTRATIVE HISTORY
In 1954, there were two Village Panchayats in the area that constitutes present-day Chokli.
They were:
- Menapram Village Panchayat
- Olavilam Village Panchayat

Vice Presidents:

Olavilam Village Panchayat

In 1964, the unified Chokli Panchayat came into existence. At that time, the areas of Peringadi, Pallippuram and Mangad, which are now part of New Mahe Grama Panchayat, were also included in Chokli Panchayat.
In 1979, Chokli Panchayat was reorganised with the present geographical boundaries, thereby forming the Chokli Grama Panchayat as it exists today.
